Tumbled Aluminum for Everyday Carry

The most recent version of the Tumbled Aluminum Bolt maintains the original external geometry of the pen, while making small engineering adjustments to improve function. The internal o-ring on the lower body keeps the pen from unscrewing while being carried in a pocket. Changes to the J-slot include moving it upwards as far as it can go to keep the pen under 5.5 inches in length; and the J-slot itself has been rounded more dramatically to draw the bolt into place when actuating the refill. Machined from durable 6061-T aluminum that is then heavily tumbled to provide a pre-worn but uniform finish that will only look better as it ages and gets more dings and nicks. Ships in our recyclable packaging with a custom vinyl sticker.

Picked this up for my pocket carry and the tumbled aluminum finish gives it a nice, subdued look that doesn't scream "tacticool." The external geometry feels just right in the hand, and the slight weight is surprisingly satisfying for a daily driver.

The tumbled finish gives it a nice, non-slip grip without being rough. I’ve been carrying it daily for a week and the aluminum feels lighter than my old steel pen. Only minor nitpick is the cap takes a bit more effort to seat than expected.
