The most recent version of the Copper Bolt maintains the original external geometry of the pen, while making small engineering adjustments to improve function. The internal o-ring on the lower body keeps the pen from unscrewing while being carried in a pocket. Changes to the J-slot include moving it upwards as far as it can go to keep the pen under 5.5 inches in length; and the J-slot itself has been rounded more dramatically to draw the bolt into place when actuating the refill. Machined from solid Tellurium copper that is then hand sanded and polished, after which a liquid oxidation agent is applied that temporarily protects against patination. Ships in our recyclable packaging with a custom vinyl sticker.
